New Teachers

Meet Mrs. Burkle!

Hi! My name is Jamie Burkle. I have worked at Gackle Streeter for the last 6 years as a paraprofessional. I am extremely excited to be moving to the teacher side of things at Gackle. The staff and students are amazing, and I have loved every minute of working here the last 6 years.

I live on a farm with my husband, Cory,  and our two boys, Christian and Skyler. We farm and raise Saler cattle with Cory’s family.  My hobbies include helping my husband with the cattle when I can, reading, gardening, canning, and spending time with my family.

I graduated from Medina High School and attended college at the University of Mary. I graduated with a Bachelor of Psychology. I am currently attending VCSU to complete my math degree.

I am looking forward to the year in my new position and getting to interact with all the students!

Meet Mrs. Nitschke!

Tina Nitschke is in her 22nd year of teaching. Before teaching at Gackle-Streeter School, she had taught in Vancouver, WA, New Salem, ND and Edgeley, ND. She has spent her career in the physical education and elementary classrooms.  She graduated from Gackle-Streeter High School, University of Jamestown with bachelor’s degree, and North Dakota State University with a Master’s in Educational Leadership. Tina and her husband, Jeremy, live on a farm by Jud, ND where Jeremy farms. They have three sons: Adam, Jacob, and Luke. They enjoy spending their time attending sporting events, hunting, and fishing. Tina is SO excited to come back to her roots and get to know, learn, and grow with the students and staff of GSPS!

We are SO excited to welcome these two to our teaching staff this year!
