The 6th graders completed a Socratic Seminar today based off of the collection of Titanic texts that we read! They did amazing: posed critical thinking questions, made references to text, and responded with intelligence!! They didn't want it to end! Ask them about it, if you get a chance!

State Convention forms due April 28
District Ag Mechanics—Edgeley May 20 4 pm Leave school at 3 pm
Carrington Workout—May 27 9 am Leave school at 7:30 am
State Convention is June 2-5 in Fargo. Practices started on Monday, March 24.
Requirements for attending state convention include:
1. 10 practices before the May 5 registration deadline.
2. Must have 1 contest.
3. Must attend at least 2 workshops on Tuesday and Wednesday.
4. Attend the Career Fair
5. Attend all 4 sessions
Permission slips with the requirements are due April 28. Forms were sent home with the students for signatures.

It's been a fun week in 5th grade! In science we identified mystery matter by its properties, conducted experiments to witness both physical and chemical changes, and saw the law of conservation of mass in action! 🧪⚖️
We also enjoyed the beautiful weather today as we went on an Easter egg hunt for a math review! 🐣🌸
