6th grade has been been working on potential and kinetic energy in science. They have been building roller coasters the last couple days! Today they were able to demonstrate them for a few classes!

UJ Honor Band members 2023
UJ Honor Band rehearsal. They are sounding awesome already and they have only practiced for a couple hours so far. Come to Jamestown for their 6 pm concert if you can at the Reiland Arts Center.
National Stem/Steam Day!! Second grade celebrated by pairing with our Science Spin lesson to make turtle wheelchairs out of legos.
Happy National STEM Day! To celebrate, the 4th & 5th graders completed a STEM challenge: make the highest free-standing tower with only 4 supplies!
Grades 9-12 took a trip to Jamestown for the local Career Fair this morning! The students really enjoyed all the booths it had to offer.
FFA students are selling fruit, pizza and jerky! Orders are due on Monday, November 13th. If you would like to place an order please contact one of our FFA members or the school!
Fruit prices all vary but are listed on the sheet.
Jerky is $28 a tub. There are 80 round pieces per tub.
Johnny B's pizza is $15 per pizza.

We have seven students who will be attending the UJ honor band festival. Everyone is welcome to attend the evening concert showcasing their accomplishments from the day of music making.
Here's what is happening at GSPS this week!
FFA students are finishing up their nationals trip today, with one last tour at Fair Oaks Farms, IN. The last couple of days our members have been able to attend convention workshops, enjoy a fun night at Malibu Jack's, attend a PRCA rodeo, have a chapter supper, and lots of shopping at the FFA shopping mall.
Shout out to these kids for working hard and doing a great job with our One-Act play! We've got some great talent here at GSPS!!
