ELEMETARY AND JUNIOR FOOTBALL GAMES FOR TONIGHT (9/5) HAVE BEEN POSTPONED.

HAVE A SAFE LABOR DAY WEEKEND! Reminder......there is NO SCHOOL on Monday. We have a late start on Wednesday- school will start at 10:16. The 6th graders studied extra hard for their spelling test today, and all got 100%. So they were rewarded with a nice treat from the Freeze!


Students in the Community Development class were able to go out to Miller Honey today and see the process of extracting honey! Special thanks to Jason for giving us a great tour and answering all of our questions. Our chapter was granted money to start our very own bee colony come this spring time!



We love visitors! We had a guest reader this morning and Mr. soulis stopped in for art.



Part Time Custodian- The Gackle-Streeter Public School District is accepting applications to fill a custodian position for the 2023-2024 school year. 15-20 hrs/wk. Job duties include cleaning classrooms and restrooms, occasional snow shoveling, washing dishes, and general upkeep. A resume can be sent to Supt. (3/3)Administration put the school into lockdown until the safety of everyone here could be confirmed. The lockdown was lifted after law enforcement arrived and the concern of a threat was mitigated. Administration is currently working on an active safety plan moving forward to insure parents and students can return to school knowing the school is a safe space. I will be attending meetings on Sept. 21st & Sept 28 with the Stutsman Co. Safety Task Force for the purpose specifically targeting current local school safety plans with goal of tightening up Gackle-Streeter Schools emergency response plan. On behalf of the administration here at the school, thanks for your trust & cooperation.

(2/3)Secondly, Mr. Soulis, our school counselor, will be on staff here at the school today, tomorrow (Friday Sept. 1st) and Tuesday Sept. 5th . Please encourage your child to visit with him if he or she is feeling anxiety regarding yesterday’s events or give him a call yourself if you would like him to meet with your child. Lastly, be assured that your son or daughter was never in harms way during yesterday’s lockdown event. (1/3)Good morning Parents and Patrons of the Gackle-Streeter School District. On behalf of the Administration here at the school, I would like to let you know the immediate plan of action the District will be taking regarding yesterdays events. First off, Logan County Sheriff’s Office will be releasing a public statement regarding the events and the details of the activity here at the school. Due to the sensitivity regarding a juvenile, those statements will be as transparent as possible and still maintain the confidentiality necessary to protect those involved. That report will be posted on the Logan County Sheriff’s website and also the Gackle-Streeter Schools website.

HS band and choir students and 6th grade band students all have burrito order forms. Make sure to find your favorite student and get your order in!


NGS Homecoming T-shirt order forms went home on Friday. Anyone interested in ordering a t-shirt --they are due this Thursday by 2:30. Homecoming is September 18-22. If you need an order form we have more in the office.


We are off to a great start this school year!











Our first Monday back at school was a busy one. JOSTENS was at the school to visit with the sophomore class and the senior class. Parents of these students be sure to ask your child about the envelope they brought home. Sophomores are due next Monday and Seniors are due next Wednesday.
