A great wrap up to this year's speech season! We did not make it into the final rounds but at least we made it to state!! Great job Leyna, Anizye, Bridger, Emily, and Judith! Thanks for being such hard workers and all around great kids!

Best of luck to Miss Trouba and our State Speech Competitors as they compete at the state competition in Mandan today. BEST OF LUCK! We are so proud of each one of you!!!!!

Students have been busy creating some very nice designs on towels using the embroidery machines in the Ag Ed room.

Career Spotlight today for students grades 7-12 was with Jeff Douty, a civil engineer, with Interstate Engineering. Our students asked a lot of very great questions. Thanks so much for coming out Jeff!

Miss Myra rocked another art project in our elementary today! So much fun!

We had a blast creating Art with Miss Myra!! 🐟 🎨 🖼️ 🎉

Tonight's the night for the High School music concert starting at 7:00 p.m.! Students should be here no later than 6:45 p.m. Yes, the pop floats are once again being sold for $2 after the concert. You can't have a Pop's concert without a pop float afterwards. :-)

Thank you Paul Zenker for coming out to educate our upperclass students on FINANCIAL PLANNING. Welcome back to GSPS.

I know that the calendar is telling us that spring is here, however Mother Nature has a different plan. Students please be sure you are NOT wearing shorts to school yet. As soon as the temps are up and snow is gone we will allow shorts in school. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding. I will let you know as soon as the time is right!!!

Miss Myra- artist in residence out of Jamestown shared her skills with students grades 7-12 today.

Our favorite parts of kindergarten!

Today was our day! We had a magnificent day celebrating National Kindergarten Day!! We really enjoyed being kings and queens for the day!

We celebrated Earth Day a few days early. Our stations included Paper plate Earth art, sensory bin alphabet sort & sight word card game. 🌎 🥰 🎨 ☀️

Elementary parents! Tomorrow we start Run and Read!!! If you aren't familiar with this, we invite parents and family members to come and read with their elementary students. It's 15 minute rotations where we run or walk for 15 minutes and then read for 15 minutes. This has been a huge success in the previous years! We will meet in the gym at 8:30 to get organized and we will be starting no later than 8:45! See you tomorrow morning!!

Congratulations to the 2023 Art & Media Contest Winners!!!

Congrats goes out to our very own Gackle-Streeter School artists: Charlee, Alaina, Jacob, & Bryce!
We are so proud of you!!

Quick reminder to the parents of our elementary students: Our playground is still a wet, snowing, muddy mess. Please be sure you send snow pants and boots with your child. If your child doesn't have boots and snow pants we are going to ask them to stay on the cement close to the building. The 10 day forecast is showing cool temps, so please be sure you send your child to school prepared for our ND spring. Thanks everyone!!!

The FFA hosted their annual banquet on Thursday, April 13th. A big thank you to the students and supporters who attended! Also, thank you to those who donated a pie for our pie auction! Congratulations to our new officer team, Abby R, Ali G, Bridger R, Richie N, Karly R, and Gentry N.

Reminder to ELEMENTARY PARENTS: The playground has a lot of snow and a lot of mud. Please be sure to send your children to school with snow pants, hat, gloves, coat, and boots. It may be a good idea to throw an extra pair of socks in their backpacks this week too.
