
Attention 5th and 6th grade:
Make sure you are checking your email first thing in the morning. I have been sending a message everyday explaining expectations for the day. I have listed the members for the 10:30 TEAM meeting for the day, afternoon conferences, and classes you will have assignments in for that day. Also, if you are missing assignments for the week another email message has also been coming to you on Thursdays to allow you time to get it made up. MAKE SURE YOU ARE CHECKING YOUR K12 email account daily!!!!! Keep up the great work- I miss you all like crazy!!!! Birthday shout outs to Cora-18th, Payton-21st, and Richie-23rd.

Notice is hereby given that on the second Tuesday in June, being June 9, 2020 the Annual School District Election of the Gackle-Streeter Public School #56 will be held for the purpose of electing such school officials as are required by law. This will be an ABSENTEE BALLOT ONLY election. Absentee ballot applications will be mailed from the office of the Secretary of State prior to April 30, 2020. When completing this application please make sure to select “School Election”. Persons not receiving an application may obtain one from the Business Manager at Gackle-Streeter Public School.

For elementary typists in grades 2-6, students may login to Edutyping and continue where they left off. They have worked hard to memorize the keyboard - let's make their memory become instinct. Congratulations to Eli Carlson: +70 WPM and Deaghan Benson: +40 WPM. Keep this up!!!

A few reminders from GSPS:
-There are NO ONLINE CLASSES tomorrow, April 10th, or Monday, April 13th.
-1st Period for students grades 7-12 will be on Friday, April 17th @ 10:00 am.
-Packet returns for grades PK-3 should be coordinated with your child's bus driver or left in the drop bin at the school on Tuesday, April 14th.
-Please take time to fill out your 2020 census!

The Bus Drivers will depart from the school between 11:20-11:30 am with the meals for those families that signed up for them. Please have someone ready to come outside and meet the drivers as they will not exit the vehicle. Please only have ONE person come outside.

Hello 3rd grade students and parents!
I wanted to let you know that I am available if you have any questions or concerns. Contacting me on my cell is probably the fastest. I know you are all rocking this new transition. I miss all of you.

In an effort to help more of our families, starting on Monday, April 6th, we will offer DELIVERY of meals to all kids 18 and under in the district!
These meals include 1 hot lunch and 1 breakfast for the following day.
Deliveries will be made by our Bus Drivers!

To clear up any confusion, the school building will remain closed until further notice. School will be held ONLINE on Friday, April 3rd.

School will be in session on Friday, April 3rd. Students should be in contact with their teachers regarding expectations for that day.
School will NOT be in session on Friday, April 10th, or Monday, April 13th .
1st Period classes scheduled for Monday, April 13th will be moved to 10:00 am on Friday, April 17th for grades 7-12.
Meals will not be offered on April 10th or 13th.

These meals include a hot lunch and breakfast for the following day. Meals are FREE and available to any children 18 and under in the household.
We recognize the added stress that our families are under as we begin distance learning. In offering these meals, our hope is to alleviate some of the burden by saving the time of preparing two meals each day.

There will be a drop box for completed packets, as well as a pick up box with packets for students PK-3 for the following week, in Streeter outside of Dakota Heritage Bank and outside the West Doors of the School in Gackle from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
A schedule for online classes for grades 7-12 has been posted to the live feed on the school's app & website.

GS Staff is working on putting together an instructional video for students on how to access their K12 accounts, how to use Microsoft Teams, and creating and submitting assignments in Office 365. We want to be sure to answer the questions our students and families have.
