Please have your archers bring their jerseys to school tomorrow to wear for the tournament. Tanya would like to take pictures for the paper. If your child doesn't have a jersey yet, we will have one for them. Reminder to sign your kids up for the Ellendale 3D tournament, the eFunds link is still open.
Thanks!

Congratulations to our Local Spelling Bee winners. These students will advance on to the County Bee held here in Gackle on February 15th.

Archery parents: we have had a lot of sickness in school this week. If your child misses school on Friday because of illness, they cannot participate in activities on Saturday. Thanks for your support and understanding. If your kids are sick I hope they feel better soon! These “bugs” sure are tough this year.

Shoutout to Keaton Heller for being our very first “Career Spotlight”. Keaton shared his career highlights as well as the many different experiences he has had through being a farmer and market analyst. Thank you Keaton!

The ag students in Horticulture class are learning about the importance of floriculture! A HUGE thank you to Napoleon Floral for donating the flowers and mechanics to design corsages and boutonnières!

The JH learned the South African stone passing game during music. We then moved on to call and response with boomwhackers, egg shakers and Lumi sticks.

Due to the pending inclement weather Gackle-Streeter School will be releasing students and buses will run at 2:30 pm TODAY, January 26th, 2023.

ND Studies mined for coal yesterday in their experiment. They really loved eating the finished product!

We have started our research project on ocean animals!!! First up was the starfish! This is by far one of my favorite units to do! We did our first two art projects today!

Archery parents:
This week practice is going to go longer, we are going to practice scoring, so grades 4-5 will be done around 4:30, and grades 6-12 will be done around 5:15.
When picking up your kids please come into the gym to get them. They are not allowed in the hallways after practice.
Next week we will be shooting the virtual Ellendale tournament. I will be sending out practice times for that on Friday, so keep a look out for that.
On Wednesday I will be handing out the flight times for the Carrington tournament. The times just need to be finalized. Bullseye is set for 12:30 and 3D is set for 1:30. I would like the kids there by 11:45. I will post the address to the Carrington school on the Carrington tournament link in the calendar on the SportsYou app.

The Junior Class will be selling Candy Grams this year for Valentine’s Day! Parents/ Guardians forms will be sent home Tuesday with your child. Order forms are due Friday, Feb 10th. We do ask that you only use one form per order to make things easier. If you have any questions ask Mrs. Erbele, and extra forms will be available in the office.
